What if happily ever after never happened? What if the villains won out instead of the heroes?
That's exactly what has happened. All the villains have gathered together, creating a plot to gain the power they seek. Using a massive amount of magic, they have shifted the inhabitants of their worlds, scattering everyone living there to other places. Friends displaced, loved ones ripped away from each other. With everyone who opposed them gone, the villains thought it would be simple for them to take control of their worlds.
But they were wrong.
When the spell was cast, the villains were thrown from their gathering place, landing in worlds far from their own as well, along with everyone else. Magical rifts, a side effect of the spell, have been opening up, creating portals, linking worlds together. They seem to be the only way for anyone to get back to where they belong.
But with meeting new people, exploring new worlds, the stories changing, will anyone want to go back to their home worlds? Will they fight to get back to what they once knew, or will they merely find a new happily ever after?
